I am a Software Engineer at Google LLC.

I received my PhD from the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo in 2017. After that, I served briefly as a Research Post-Doctoral Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Michigan (here is a link to my MATH 525: Probability course notes).

Here, you can find selected publications from my days in academia and a casual blog. A CV is available on request.

If you would like to get in touch, send me an email at parsiad [dot] azimzadeh [at] gmail [dot] com.

I maintain and contribute to the GNU Octave financial package. You can read about the latest release here, which includes a robust Monte Carlo simulation framework. If you are interested in contributing to the package, send an email to me and please consider sending a carbon copy (cc) to octave-maintainers [at] gnu [dot] org.

My Erdös number is 4: Parsiad Azimzadeh → George Labahn → Gene Howard Golub → Alan J. Hoffman → Paul Erdös.
